Insurance Companies and Windshield Repairs

Many insurance companies consider a windshield repair
preventative maintenance, it is cost effective for them to assist their
customer with a windshield repair rather than pay for a windshield replacement.
The repair is filed as a “no fault” claim and therefore the deductable is waived
and they fully pay for the cost of the repair, if the customer has
comprehensive coverage.
Many factors are taken into consideration when determining
if a customer’s rates will increase, but many times the monthly payments are
not affected by the “no fault” claim. The best way to ensure that insurance rates
will not increase is for the customer to speak with their insurance agent.
Here are just a few insurance companies Chipio works with:
  • 21st Century
  • AIG
  • Farmers
  • Farm Bureau
  • Geico
  • GMAC
  • Hartford
  • Liberty Mutual
  • Nationwide
  • Progressive
  • State Farm
  • USAA

  3. Insurance companies are wise now they just only include windshield repair not windshield replacement. It will be easier for them to assist them for the repair. But for big windshield damage you should have to do rv windshield replacement.

  4. I do hope that my insurance company will cover the big rock chip I got in my windshield the other day. Out of no where, a rock flew up and smacked into my windshield. I'll have to look around and see what places I can take to for repairs. http://www.instantwindscreens.com.au/autoglass/replacements/
